Keeping UI state visible but calm

Selected states, hover feedback, and disabled controls should guide the user without adding noise.

Interface state badges and controls in a clean UI

UI state should be noticeable enough to guide action, but not so loud that it becomes the main content.

For filters and tags, I prefer small changes in border, text color, and background. Those shifts are enough to show selection without overwhelming the page.

Calm state design makes the interface feel deliberate.
